Description

We are looking for Salesman for newly introducing Steel Trading Company with attractive salary and incentive scale.
1. Experience & Skills:
Experience in Sales: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the steel, construction, or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of Steel Products: Understanding of various types of steel, including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and their applications in different industries.
Sales Experience in B2B: Ability to deal with businesses, especially construction companies, manufacturing plants, and other steel-dependent industries.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiating skills to secure deals, discounts, and ensure profitability for both the company and the client.
Customer Focused: Ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions for steel product requirements.
2. Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any related field is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Additional knowledge or certifications related to steel manufacturing or metallurgy is an advantage.
3. Responsibilities:
Sales Targets: Meeting or exceeding sales targets set by the company for steel product sales.
Client Acquisition: Identifying and acquiring new clients for the company’s steel products.
Product Knowledge: Keeping up-to-date with new developments in the steel industry and understanding the technical aspects of the products being sold.
Order Handling: Managing the order process, from inquiry to delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Market Research: Conducting market research to identify new sales opportunities and customer needs.
Customer Support: Providing post-sale support, ensuring that customers are satisfied, and resolving any issues with products or deliveries.
4. Personal Attributes:
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and be proactive in finding leads and opportunities.
Strong Communication Skills: Must be able to clearly communicate with clients and team members.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Able to solve issues related to delivery, quality concerns, or product specifications efficiently.
Time Management: Efficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks.
Team Player: Willing to collaborate with other departments (like logistics or procurement) to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Location:
The position might require frequent travel to meet clients, visit construction sites, or attend industry events, so a valid driver's license and willingness to travel are important.
6. Technical Skills (Optional):
Familiarity with CRM tools to manage customer relationships.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations.
7. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary + Commission: Sales-driven compensation with performance incentives based on sales targets.
