Position: Assistant Engineer
Salary: SAR 6000-8000
Department: Operations/Construction Division
Reports to: Operations Manager
Experience should be more than 5 years

The Assistant Engineer will work closely with the Operations Manager, providing technical and operational support across all areas of construction projects. This role requires a hands-on, results-driven individual who is well-versed in all aspects of construction management, including site coordination, project execution, and contractor management. The Assistant Engineer will ensure that work is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards of quality, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance regulations. This role demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

1. Support to Operations Manager:
Assist the Operations Manager in day-to-day management and oversight of construction projects.
Provide technical and operational input to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
Ensure that project milestones, deadlines, and quality standards are met according to company policies.

2. Field Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring that teams follow construction plans and specifications.
Maintain regular communication with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
Ensure that work on-site is conducted according to schedules and resolves any issues or delays promptly.

3. Quality Control and Problem Solving:
Monitor ongoing work to ensure adherence to quality standards and construction guidelines.
Identify and address any technical issues or construction challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Assist in implementing solutions to ensure that all work is done correctly and efficiently, without compromising quality or safety.

4. Project Execution and Punctuality:
Ensure that all tasks and project phases are completed on time, without exceptions.
Proactively manage resources, teams, and contractors to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Take a “go-getter” approach, ensuring that work progresses efficiently, and motivate teams to stay focused and productive.

5. Contractor and Vendor Management:
Assist in managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring that materials and services are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.
Review contractor and supplier performance, addressing any issues that could impact project timelines or budgets.

6. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all project activities, including daily logs, work progress, and material deliveries.
Provide regular updates and reports to the Operations Manager, highlighting potential issues, risks, or delays.
Assist in preparing final reports, as-built drawings, and project completion documents.

7. Team Leadership and Communication:
Act as the point of contact between the Operations Manager and on-site teams, ensuring that everyone is aligned with project objectives.
Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethics, punctuality, and commitment to getting the job done.
Foster a positive and productive working environment by encouraging teamwork, discipline, and accountability.
