Description

1. Receive priorities, verbal or written instructions for attending to any work in connection with trouble
shooting and problem investigation nature type of works and obtains requirements for work.
Inspects equipment to determine the extent of work required, discusses problems with Operations
personnel and raises field requisitions for any additional materials, spares etc
2. Carries out routine preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment according to schedules,
results of visual inspection, check lists and specific equipment requirements. This includes daily
checking and changing oils as required, monthly checks of motors and bearings and greasing as
required and yearly checks of boiler bearings and couplings, greasing motors on pumps and other
general overhauls of equipment, repairs and/or replace defective parts
3. Carries out daily routine maintenance of machinery and equipment. Includes daily cleaning and
oiling of machinery.
