Job Title: Tekla / AutoCAD Detailer
Industry: Structural Steel Fabrication
Experience Required: 3–8 Years

Job Summary
Experienced Structural Steel Detailer with strong expertise in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD for preparing accurate fabrication and erection drawings. Skilled in developing 3D models, shop drawings, GA drawings, and connection details for steel structures in compliance with project specifications and fabrication standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D structural steel models in Tekla.

Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings using Tekla & AutoCAD.

Produce detailed shop fabrication drawings for:

Columns

Beams

Trusses

Bracings

Mezzanine floors

Stairs & handrails

Create single-part and assembly drawings.

Prepare connection details (bolted & welded).

Extract material take-off (MTO) and reports.

Revise drawings as per consultant/client comments.

Coordinate with design, production, and site teams.

Ensure drawings are ready for CNC cutting and workshop fabrication.

Maintain revision control and documentation.

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures

Proficient in AutoCAD

Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes:

Cutting & drilling

Welding & bolting

Surface treatment (painting / galvanizing)

Knowledge of:

AISC / BS / Eurocode standards

Welding symbols & bolt grades

Section properties

Erection sequencing

Project Experience

Industrial buildings & warehouses

Commercial steel structures

Canopies & shade structures

Pipe racks & platforms

Structural frames

Heavy steel structures

Fabrication & Workshop Coordination

Reading structural design drawings.

Preparing fabrication-ready drawings.

Coordination with workshop supervisor & QA/QC.

Material estimation and bolt lists.

Handling revisions and site modification drawings.
