Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Electrical Engineer (MEP) with strong Gulf countries experience to handle electrical design, calculations, technical supervision, and coordination for MEP projects. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of power, lighting, ELV, and authority regulations applicable to GCC projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, review, and approve electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and ELV systems.

Perform and verify electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations.

Prepare and review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical details.

Review and approve material submittals, technical submissions, and method statements.

Provide technical supervision and guidance during site execution.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other disciplines.

Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS standards, and local authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEC, Kahramaa, etc.).

Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover activities.

Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in LV systems (MDB, SMDB, DBs, cabling, containment).

Good knowledge of lighting design and lux level calculations.

Experience with ELV systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Structured Cabling).

Proficient in load calculations, cable sizing, and protection coordination.

Skilled in AutoCAD and electrical design/calculation software.

Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

10+ years of relevant experience with minimum 7 years in GCC countries.

Proven experience in technical design and site supervision roles.
