Job Overview

The Firefighting Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, executing, and ensuring the correct installation, testing, and commissioning of firefighting systems. The role requires strict compliance with NFPA, Saudi Building Code (SBC), SEC standards, and project specifications to ensure high-quality and safe project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and execute installation of firefighting systems including fire alarm, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, and associated mechanical piping.
Review IFC, coordination, and shop drawings, identify discrepancies, and propose technical solutions.
Ensure all works comply with NFPA standards, SBC, SEC requirements, and approved project specifications.
Prepare and submit IRs, MIRs, method statements, ITPs, and other required site documentation.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.
Monitor daily site activities including manpower, work progress, and material requirements.
Conduct pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, flow testing, and fire pump room commissioning.
Support integration of firefighting systems with fire alarm interfaces (where applicable).
Enforce HSE guidelines and ensure site safety compliance during all firefighting works.
Close NCRs, punch lists, and ensure quality-driven project completion.
Participate in final testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
3–7 years of experience in firefighting system installation and commissioning.
Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, NFPA 24, and relevant mechanical codes.
Experience on Substation & PV projects is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office, basic AutoCAD review, and technical reporting.
