Job Summary:
The Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This includes fitting pipes, installing fixtures, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on water supply, drainage, and heating systems. The Plumber ensures all work is performed according to building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation of Plumbing Systems:

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems for water, gas, and sewage.
Fit and assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various tools and techniques (e.g., soldering, welding, threading).
Install appliances such as dishwashers, water heaters, toilets, sinks, and other fixtures in homes and businesses.
Maintenance and Repair:

Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including leaks, clogs, and faulty piping.
Inspect plumbing systems to ensure all components are in proper working order and meet safety regulations.
Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning drains, replacing worn-out parts, and sealing pipe joints.
Blueprint and Plan Interpretation:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations or repairs.
Accurately calculate and measure the necessary materials, tools, and equipment for each job.
Testing and Diagnosis:

Test plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, and proper operation using pressure gauges, water flow meters, or other diagnostic tools.
Identify potential problems and recommend repairs or system upgrades as needed.
Compliance with Codes and Regulations:

Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Obtain any necessary permits or approvals before commencing work on larger projects.
Customer Service:

Provide clear explanations to clients about the necessary work, costs, and maintenance recommendations.
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
Tool and Equipment Management:

Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, wrenches, soldering irons, and drain cleaning machines.
Ensure tools and materials are properly stored and handled to prevent damage or injury.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Plumber or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Ability to work independently, follow technical instructions, and manage multiple tasks.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training program.
Relevant licenses or certifications as required by local authorities (e.g., Journeyman or Master Plumber certification).
