FMC is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Estimators to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on project specifications, drawings, and other documents.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for MEP systems to determine the materials, equipment, and labor required for the project.
• Ensure accuracy in measuring and counting all necessary components
• Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals for MEP systems.
• Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and manage budgets for MEP components of construction projects.
• Ensure estimates align with overall project budgets and financial goals.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
• Ability to analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings to accurately determine the scope and costs of MEP systems.
• Proficiency in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
• Strong grasp of financial principles related to budgeting, and value engineering.
• Ability to prepare and manage budgets effectively for MEP systems.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar field
• Knowledge of specific sectors within MEP systems, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems, or plumbing systems.
