Description

Key responsibilities
Sourcing and purchasing
• Review purchase requests and BOQs from project and IT teams; confirm specs, quantities and budget before sourcing.
• Issue RFQs/RFPs for IT hardware (servers, network switches, firewalls, CCTV, access control, AV, POS), software licenses and services.
• Obtain at least three comparable quotations and prepare technical/commercial comparison sheets.
• Raise and follow up purchase orders in the ERP system through to delivery.
Vendor management
• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, authorized distributors and local suppliers.
• Register and qualify new vendors; keep the approved vendor list and their documents (CR, VAT, certificates) up to date.
• Track supplier performance on price, lead time, quality, and after-sales support.
• Manage partner programs, project registrations and special-pricing requests with OEMs.
Negotiation and cost control
• Negotiate price, payment terms, warranty, delivery, and support (SLA) conditions.
• Identify savings through volume deals, framework agreements and alternative brands approved by the technical team.
• Manage license renewals and maintenance contracts so nothing lapses.
Logistics and coordination
• Coordinate delivery schedules, shipping and customs clearance for imported items.
• Work with the warehouse on receiving, inspection and handling of damaged or wrong items (returns, RMA).
• Keep project managers updated on lead times and flag delivery risks early.
Compliance and documentation
• Follow the company procurement policy, approval matrix, and Saudi regulations (VAT, local content requirements where applicable).
• Keep complete records of quotations, approvals, POs, delivery notes and invoices.
• Support finance with invoice matching and supplier payment follow-up.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports on spend, savings, open POs and supplier performance.
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or IT.
• 3–5 years in procurement, at least 2 of them buying IT, networking, or low-current systems.
• Experience with a systems integrator or IT distributor is a strong plus.
• Hands-on use of an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Preferred certifications: CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP.
• Valid Saudi residency (Iqama) or Saudi national; a Saudi driving license is a plus.
