Job Summary:
Powerline Solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer to promote and sell the company's electrical products and engineering solutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop strong customer relationships, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and support clients from inquiry through project completion. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of the electrical industry along with excellent sales and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the electrical, utility, industrial, and construction sectors.
• Promote the company's products and solutions to contractors, consultants, EPC companies, industrial clients, and government organizations.
• Conduct regular customer visits to understand project requirements and generate new sales opportunities.
• Review project specifications, BOQs, single-line diagrams, and tender documents to recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations in coordination with procurement and engineering teams.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate commercial terms to secure purchase orders.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers regarding pricing, technical documentation, and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers while expanding the customer base.
• Prepare technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Coordinate with project, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
• Provide after-sales support and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
• Submit weekly sales reports, sales forecasts, and customer visit reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical sales within the electrical industry, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with Saudi Energy (formally known as Saudi Electricity company), Saudi Aramco etc.
• Experience in selling electrical equipment, switchgear, transformers, cables, protection relays, fiber optic solutions, substation materials, testing & commissioning services, or industrial electrical products is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Odoo/CRM/ERP systems.
Required Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems and products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to prepare competitive quotations.
• Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to achieve sales targets.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
