Description

The Project Manager – Steel Structure is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing steel structure projects from initiation to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements, engineering specifications, quality standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and monitor steel structure fabrication and erection projects to ensure timely completion within approved budgets.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules to identify project requirements and potential risks.
Develop project work plans, resource allocation schedules, and manpower requirements for fabrication and site activities.
Monitor project progress, productivity, and costs, implementing corrective actions when necessary to achieve project objectives.
Manage procurement and material requirements, ensuring timely availability of steel, equipment, and project resources.
Supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and approved construction methodologies.
Conduct regular project meetings and prepare progress reports, status updates, and documentation for management and clients.
Review and approve subcontractor work, invoices, and project-related claims while ensuring contractual compliance.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational issues.
Coordinate inspections, testing, and project handover activities, ensuring successful project completion and client satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, HSE requirements, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in steel structure fabrication and erection projects.
Strong knowledge of structural steel construction, fabrication processes, and site execution.
Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project and Primavera.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, engineering specifications, and contracts.
Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
Good knowledge of project budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
Familiarity with quality management systems and HSE standards.
Strong communication and report-writing skills in English.
