Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Planning Engineer with strong experience in both CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works for industrial construction projects such as warehouses, factories, cold stores, utility buildings, infrastructure works, and steel structure projects.

The candidate shall be responsible for overall project planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, coordination, delay analysis, procurement tracking, and recovery planning for all CSA & MEP activities to ensure successful and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and look-ahead programs covering complete CSA & MEP works using Primavera P6/MS Project.
* Develop project work breakdown structures (WBS) for Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Infrastructure works.
* Monitor and update project progress on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Team, QA/QC Team, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Clients, and Consultants.
* Track engineering, material approvals, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
* Monitor long lead materials and equipment related to CSA & MEP works.
* Prepare manpower histograms, resource loading, productivity analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
* Identify critical activities and advise project team regarding potential delays and mitigation actions.
* Conduct delay analysis and assist in preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and supporting documents.
* Prepare professional weekly and monthly progress reports with planned vs actual analysis, critical path review, and recovery actions.
* Coordinate construction sequence between CSA & MEP activities to avoid clashes and delays.
* Review project drawings, specifications, BOQ, material submittals, and scope of works for planning and execution purposes.
* Monitor testing & commissioning activities and integrate them into the project schedule.
* Participate in internal and external progress review meetings.
* Maintain proper project planning records, logs, and documentation.

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
* Minimum 5–8 years experience as Planning Engineer in industrial construction projects involving both CSA & MEP works.
* Strong experience in warehouses, factories, cold stores, utility buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities.
* Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6.
* Good knowledge in MS Project and advanced Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of industrial construction methodologies and execution sequence for CSA & MEP works.
* Experience in progress monitoring, delay analysis, recovery planning, procurement tracking, and reporting.
* Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Saudi Arabia/GCC experience will be preferred.
