Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Generator Electrical Technician to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the electrical systems of diesel and gas-powered generators, working under the supervision of the site engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out hands-on electrical maintenance, repair, and testing of diesel and gas-powered generators
Inspect and service alternators, AVR units, control panels, ATS/AMF systems, and wiring harnesses
Diagnose and repair electrical faults including wiring issues, sensor failures, and control system malfunctions
Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks as per scheduled maintenance plans
Conduct load testing and monitor generator output, voltage, frequency, and power factor
Inspect and maintain battery systems, starter circuits, and charging units
Respond to breakdown and emergency callouts and carry out corrective repairs promptly
Follow all safety procedures and electrical safety regulations during all tasks
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and report work status to the supervising engineer
Requirements:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in generator electrical maintenance and repair
Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field
Strong practical knowledge of generator electrical systems including alternators, AVR, ATS, and control panels
Experience with generator brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, Stamford, or FG Wilson is a strong advantage
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently, in shifts, and respond to emergency callouts when required
Physically fit and able to work in outdoor and industrial environments
