Description

‎Key Responsibilities
‎Inspection & Compliance: Regularly inspect workplaces (e.g., construction sites, plants) to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards and legal regulations.
‎Risk Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments (e.g., JSAs) to develop strategies for reducing occupational hazards and environmental impact.
‎Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
‎Safety Culture & Training: Promote a safety-first culture by providing safety trainings (toolbox talks) and educating employees on safe work practices.
‎Emergency Response: Develop emergency protocols, manage evacuation drills, and prepare emergency response plans.
‎Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, audits, and training activities, and report findings to management.
‎Safety Equipment: Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safety equipment.


‎Required Skills and Qualifications:

‎Education: A degree or Diploma in Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
‎Certifications: Often requires recognized certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
‎Experience: Previous experience in safety management, often specialized by industry (e.g., construction).

‎Competencies: Strong communication skills to report findings and train staff, technical knowledge of safety regulations, and an analytical mindset.
‎
