Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficient operations, product quality, cost control, and on-time delivery. The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining safety standards, minimizing waste, and improving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution
• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
• Ensure production targets are met within deadlines
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials for smooth operations
• Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as needed

2. Operations Management
• Supervise production teams and ensure efficient use of resources
• Optimize production processes to improve productivity
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
• Maintain proper documentation of production activities

3. Quality Control
• Ensure all products meet company and regulatory quality standards
• Work closely with QC teams to resolve quality issues
• Implement corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor compliance with SOPs and production standards

4. Inventory & Material Management
• Track raw material consumption and usage reports
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability
• Minimize waste and manage stock efficiently
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records

5. Team Leadership
• Recruit, train, and supervise production staff
• Assign duties and monitor performance
• Conduct performance evaluations
• Promote teamwork and discipline

6. Health, Safety & Compliance
• Enforce workplace safety standards and procedures
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Conduct safety checks and risk assessments

7. Continuous Improvement
• Identify areas for process improvement
• Implement efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
• Lead improvement projects and performance reviews

8. Reporting
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports
• Track KPIs such as output, waste, downtime, and efficiency
• Present performance data to management
