Job Title: Digital Trading Assistant About the Role:
Al Hala is seeking a Digital Trading Assistant to join our growing digital team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business expanding its presence across regional and international digital channels for our fashion and home furnishing brands. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product readiness across all online platforms, supporting digital merchandising, site updates, and promotional activity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help drive commercial performance, optimize the online customer experience, and support the wider eCommerce trading strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure full product readiness across owned and third-party digital channels, including imagery, copy, translations, and attributes.
• Own timely product uploads and updates across digital platforms in line with trading calendars.
• Maintain accurate product categorization, merchandising, and on-site presentation aligned with commercial strategy.
• Manage product lifecycle updates, including removal of discontinued or outdated items.
• Support cross-sell, up-sell, and product sorting strategies to improve conversion and customer journey.
• Optimize on-site search and product discoverability through effective use of keywords, taxonomy, filters, and placement.
• Publish and maintain site content and assets across homepage, category, and static pages, ensuring accuracy and readiness.
• Conduct daily site checks to ensure accuracy of assortments, content, pricing, and promotions.
• Analyze site performance, customer behavior, and competitor activity to inform digital merchandising decisions.
• Identify trading opportunities based on stock levels, conversion, and demand.
• Prepare weekly and ad-hoc trading reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve KPIs.
• Support wider merchandising and trading projects, taking ownership of assigned deliverables and timelines.
• Contribute to trend analysis and present actionable insights to the commercial team.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years experience in retail merchandising or ecommerce

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Key Skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent planning, organization, and time-management abilities
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required
