"Commercial Engineer" wanted for a project in Riyadh

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in construction projects

Qualities & Skills:
• Contract Law & Administration: Deep understanding of contract structures (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT, Lump Sum, Cost-Plus), terms & conditions, and the entire lifecycle from drafting to close-out. This is the most critical skill.

• Procurement & Tendering: Expertise in managing the end-to-end procurement process: developing tender documents (RFPs, RFQs), bid evaluation, negotiation, and awarding contracts to suppliers and subcontractors.

• Financial Acumen & Risk Management: Strong ability in budgeting, cost analysis, cash flow management, and most importantly, identifying, quantifying, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.

• Claims Management & Dispute Resolution: Skill in preparing, defending, and negotiating claims (delay, disruption, variation). Knowledge of dispute resolution methods: negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.

• Market & Industry Awareness: Understanding of market rates, material price trends, supply chain dynamics, and competitor landscape to make informed commercial decisions.
