Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Review the material submittals and BOQ for DC(Direct Current) systems, including rectifiers, batteries, DC cables, and protection devices.
• Review single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Review load analysis, voltage drop calculations, and battery autonomy studies.
• Select appropriate DC components according to standards (SBC,IEC, IEEE, or NEC).
• Supervise installation of rectifier systems, DC panels, and battery banks.
• Review the testing and commissioning procedure of DC systems.
• Ensure proper polarity, grounding, and redundancy during installation.
• Monitor and maintain DC power systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of DC equipment (rectifiers, DCDBs, etc.).
• Diagnose faults, measure insulation resistance, and ensure stable DC output.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering (ATD or CDCP accreditation is preferred).
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in DC (Direct Current) design/consultancy, with at least 5 years in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of local & international standards for data centers.
• Proficiency in DC load calculation software and design tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and consultancy skills.
