Logistics and coordination
Shipment coordination: Plan and coordinate import/export shipments across all modes of transportation (sea, air, land).
Tracking: Track and monitor shipments from origin to destination to ensure timely delivery.
Routing and cost optimization: Identify and negotiate cost-effective transport options, and work to reduce delivery costs and optimize routes.
Vendor management: Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
Documentation and compliance
Document preparation: Prepare and review all necessary shipping documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists, Certificates, saber.
Customs clearance: Facilitate and manage the customs clearance process, ensuring all requirements are met.
Regulatory knowledge: Stay up-to-date on Saudi Arabian import/export regulations and compliance requirements, including SABER and FASAH procedures.
Record maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all import and export transactions.
Communication and problem-solving
Internal and external communication: Act as the main point of contact for internal teams (e.g., procurement, warehouse) and external stakeholders.
Issue resolution: Address and resolve problems such as customs delays, damages, or incorrect documentation.
Reporting: Prepare reports on shipping costs, delivery times, and other key performance indicators.
Inventory and finance
Cost calculation: Calculate the final landed cost of shipments, including all freight, duties, and taxes.
Billing: Assist with billing, invoicing, and cost reconciliation for freight and customs charges.
