Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Assistance

Support senior technicians during installation, configuration, and testing of security equipment.

Assist in cabling, conduit work, device mounting, and labelling.

Help in connecting and terminating cables (UTP, coaxial, or fibre).

2. Maintenance & Inspections

Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance for all security systems.

Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision.

Report any faults or irregularities to the security technician or supervisor promptly.

3. Documentation & Reporting

Help maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and tool inventory.

Update system data sheets and checklists as directed.

Assist in documenting installed devices and cable routes.

4. Tools & Materials Handling

Ensure tools and testing equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Prepare materials, components, and spare parts for upcoming maintenance tasks.

Follow safe handling procedures for electrical and electronic components.

5. Compliance & Safety

Follow company safety policies and use proper PPE at all times.

Maintain confidentiality regarding security infrastructure details.

Support in keeping the workplace organised and hazard-free.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Diploma or technical certificate in electronics, electrical, IT systems, or a related field.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in security systems or electrical maintenance (fresh graduates may also be considered).

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.

Familiar with low-voltage wiring and power supply connections.

Understanding of basic networking concepts is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

Eager to learn and follow technical instructions.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsible, punctual, and attentive to details.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Quality and accuracy of work performed.

Timely completion of assigned support tasks.

Compliance with safety and company standards.

Feedback from the supervising technician or manager.
