Project Title:
Construction of Wastewater Network Infrastructure
Location: Al Ula. KSA
Reporting To: Client Project Manager
Duration : 6 Months
Objective: To lead, supervise, and manage the construction of a wastewater network infrastructure project in , Al Ula. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring all construction activities are executed in line with the approved designs, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements, while also meeting schedule and budgetary constraints. This role involves effective coordination between subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, client representatives, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Planning
● Review and understand project documents including IFC drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and project schedules.
● Develop and monitor execution plans, phasing strategies, and resource mobilization in collaboration with subcontractors.
● Conduct and lead project kick-off meetings, regular planning sessions, and technical coordination meetings.
● Implementing the Hayat sewer network.
● Preparing all necessary documents related to the project during each project phase.
● Preparing progress reports.
● Handling RCU requests for the project.
● Managing and controlling the activities and documents of subcontractors.
● Overseeing HSE regulations for the assigned project.
2. Construction Supervision & Coordination
● Oversee daily construction operations on-site to ensure work aligns with project specifications and schedule.
● Supervise subcontractor activities and resolve construction-related bottlenecks to maintain workflow and productivity.
● Coordinate timely delivery and storage of construction materials with procurement and logistics teams.
3. Quality Control and Assurance
● Enforce strict QA/QC protocols for all phases of construction including excavation, pipe laying, manholes, jointing, and backfilling.
● Approve materials based on compliance with technical specifications and project submittals.
● Witness and document pipeline tests such as hydrostatic pressure tests, leakage, and deflection testing.
4. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance
● Ensure 100% compliance with HSE regulations, both company-specific and local regulatory requirements.
● Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce the use of PPE and safe work practices across all activities.
● Monitor site for hazards and implement corrective measures in coordination with the HSE team.
● Report incidents, near-misses, and safety violations in accordance with company protocols.
5. Documentation and Reporting
● Prepare and submit daily site logs, and ensure accuracy in weekly and monthly progress reports.
● Manage project documentation including RFIs, IRs, red-line drawings, and material approval logs.
● Ensure timely submission of all documentation required by the client and internal management.
6. Problem Solving and Decision Making
● Proactively identify potential delays, design conflicts, or construction issues and recommend corrective actions.
● Make informed site decisions in coordination with the project and construction management team.
● Liaise with consultants to resolve design queries or technical issues on-site.
7. Communication and Coordination
● Act as the key point of contact between subcontractors, consultants, client representatives, and internal teams.
● Participate in and contribute to weekly progress meetings and technical discussions.
● Coordinate with local authorities and utilities for inspections, permits, and service connections as needed.
8. Essential Skills and Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. PMP will be added advantage .
● Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in managing wastewater networks or underground utility projects.
● Strong understanding of pipeline construction methods, excavation practices, and underground infrastructure.
● Knowledge of international and local construction codes and standards (ASTM, BS, EN, ISO, etc.).
● Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6 preferred).
● Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. ● HSE certification (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) preferred.
● Must possess a valid driving license. Work Conditions
● Full-time, site-based role in Al Ula with potential for extended working hours or shift work based on project requirements.
● Role requires regular physical presence on site, with exposure to outdoor weather and construction conditions. Reporting Structure The Project Manager will report directly to the Ashar Project Manager and will work closely with the HSE Officer , Quality Engineer , and Subcontractor Site Teams .
