About the Role:

Our restaurant is looking for a creative and passionate Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry section and craft exceptional desserts that complement our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, precision, and leadership to deliver top-quality pastries and sweet creations that enhance the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all pastry and dessert operations within the restaurant.

Design and update dessert menus in line with seasonal ingredients and restaurant themes.

Supervise, train, and schedule pastry team members to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.

Oversee the preparation, baking, and presentation of pastries, cakes, and plated desserts.

Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage cost control to reduce waste.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with regulations.

Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless coordination with kitchen service.

Ensure all pastry products meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, texture, and presentation.

Participate in menu tastings and support special events or catering when required.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in pastry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or head chef role in a restaurant.

Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts preferred.

Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and modern dessert trends.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Proven creativity and attention to detail in dessert presentation.

Strong understanding of food cost management and inventory control.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
