Job Title: Design & Estimation Engineer – Fire Protection Specialist
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Project Manager
Location: Dammam

Job Summary:
Responsible for designing fire protection systems (sprinkler, suppression, detection) in compliance with local and international codes (e.g., NFPA, UAE Fire Code), and preparing cost estimations for tenders and proposals. Ensures designs meet client requirements, project budgets, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to understand scope and technical requirements.

Design fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, FM200, NOVEC, foam systems, fire alarm) using AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software.

Prepare detailed bill of quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and cost estimates.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other disciplines (MEP, Civil) to ensure design integration.

Ensure all designs comply with NFPA, Civil Defense, and relevant local codes.

Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals for tenders and RFPs.

Assist in obtaining Civil Defense design approvals.

Participate in site visits and technical meetings, as required.

Support procurement and project execution teams with technical clarifications and value engineering.

Stay up to date on industry standards, codes, and technologies related to fire protection.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years experience in fire protection design and estimation.

Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, local Civil Defense regulations.

Proficient in AutoCAD, hydraulic calculation tools (e.g., Elite, HASS), and MS Office.

Experience with estimation tools and ERP systems is an advantage.

Good communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
