Description

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) plans for substation projects in alignment with SEC standards, ISO 9001, and relevant IEC/IEEE codes.

Conduct inspections and tests on electrical systems including transformers, switchgear, protection devices, and cabling to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Review and approve material submittals, equipment documentation, and test procedures, ensuring alignment with ISO and project-specific quality criteria.

Identify and document quality issues through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and lead corrective/preventive actions in accordance with ISO 9001 protocols.

Oversee the installation and operation of grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems to ensure quality and safety compliance.

Monitor site activities and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to SEC and ISO quality requirements.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within substation construction and commissioning projects.

Practical knowledge and/or certification in ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Strong understanding of substation equipment, electrical testing, and quality assurance protocols.

Familiarity with SEC, ISO, IEC, and IEEE standards.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
