Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medium Voltage (MV) Electrical Engineer to oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of medium voltage systems in power plants and MEP projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of MV equipment, protection systems, and testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the installation, commissioning, and testing of MV switchgear, transformers, cables, and associated equipment.
Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for MV power distribution systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC) and local regulations.
Perform relay protection settings, coordination studies, and fault analysis.
Supervise and troubleshoot MV systems, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers.
Collaborate with design teams to review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and schematics.
Prepare technical reports, test documentation, and commissioning records.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure timely execution of projects.
Implement and enforce safety procedures for MV electrical works.
Train and mentor junior engineers and site technicians.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MV systems, power plants, or MEP projects.
Strong understanding of MV protection systems, relay coordination, and fault analysis.
Proficiency in electrical testing equipment (primary and secondary injection, insulation resistance, etc.).
Experience with power system software such as ETAP is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Local driving license.
