Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance, and streamline accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in financial systems, and the ability to lead month-end closures. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
2. General Ledger & Month-End Close:
• Supervise ledger maintenance, reconciliations (bank, AR/AP), and journal entries.
• Lead month/year-end closing processes with strict deadlines.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in annual budget preparation and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report discrepancies.
4. Audit & Compliance:
• Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings.
• Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

5. Process Improvement:
• Optimize accounting workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure adherence to policies.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
o Advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros).
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication (English/Arabic) and teamwork.
