Description

Only C2 SEC Certified Safety Officer can apply who is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety policies and procedures in line with Saudi Arabian regulations. This role ensures compliance with local safety standards, conducts risk assessments, and promotes a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management:
Ensure compliance with Saudi OSHA and other local regulatory standards. Conduct risk assessments and develop/implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with Saudi laws.

Training & Awareness:
Organize and deliver safety training programs, including induction and periodic safety drills for employees in compliance with Saudi regulations.

Incident Reporting & Management:
Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and hazardous situations. Maintain safety records and reports as per Saudi regulatory requirements, and recommend corrective actions.

Inspections & Audits:
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards. Ensure safety equipment meets Saudi safety standards and is properly maintained.

Emergency Preparedness:
Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans. Coordinate emergency drills (e.g., fire drills, evacuation) and ensure compliance with local emergency regulations.

Compliance Reporting:
Provide regular reports on safety performance, compliance status, and accident statistics to management in line with Saudi Arabian standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Certification: C2 Certified Safety Officer or equivalent recognized safety certification approved in Saudi Arabia.

Nebosh Certified will be preferred.

Iqama Status: Valid Iqama with the profession of Engineer or Technician

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a safety or HSE role, preferably in industries adhering to Saudi regulations.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Saudi safety regulations, including Saudi OSHA standards, GOSI, and local safety laws.

Skills: Proficient in risk assessment techniques, incident investigation, and compliance reporting. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented and proactive in addressing safety risks.
Ability to work under pressure and influence others to ensure a safety culture.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multilingual workforce.

Working Conditions:
Location: SEC Sub Station in Madina, Riyadh, Al Hassa
Work Hours: 8 Hrs
Physical Demands: Ability to conduct safety inspections, walk around job sites, and stand for extended periods.
