Job Title: Cost Controller

Job Summary & Job Description – Cost Controller

The Cost Controller will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling costs related to the establishment and operation of multiple medical services facilities. The role involves cost planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting and accounting to ensure cost efficiency and effective resource utilization. The Cost Controller will work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and finance departments to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial control.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Planning & Budgeting:
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets for new and under-establishment medical facilities.
• Prepare cost forecasts and financial models to support decision-making.
• Work with project managers and procurement teams to ensure cost estimates align with financial plans.

2. Cost Monitoring & Control:
• Track and control project expenditures, ensuring they remain within approved budgets.
• Identify cost variances and investigate discrepancies between actual and planned costs.
• Conduct regular cost reviews and recommend corrective actions when needed.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cost breakdowns, progress reports, and variance analyses.
• Provide regular updates to management on financial performance and potential risks.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting for project-based expenditures in accordance with IFRS as endorsed in the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia.

4. Compliance & Internal Controls:
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and financial best practices.
• Implement and maintain strong internal cost control procedures.
• Support audits and financial reviews as required.

5. Risk Management & Cost Optimization:
• Identify potential cost risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance cost efficiency in facility development and operations.
• Analyze financial data to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A professional certification (CMA, CPA, CA) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the healthcare,
construction, or project management sector.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial analysis, cost modeling, and budgeting tools.
Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
Collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with medical facility construction, healthcare procurement,
and financial regulations is an advantage.
