We are seeking a skilled CAM Operator to program and operate CNC Plasma Cutting, Rolling, and Press Brake Machines for trailer and tanker manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAM software, machine setup, and metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. CNC Plasma Cutting:
• Program and operate CNC plasma cutting machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
• Optimize nesting and material usage for minimal waste.
• Adjust machine settings for different metal thicknesses (mild steel, stainless steel).

2. Rolling Machine Operation:
• Set up and operate rolling machines to form metal sheets into cylindrical or curved shapes.
• Adjust rollers to achieve required diameters and tolerances.
• Ensure proper alignment and avoid material defects.

3. Press Brake Operation:
• Program and operate CNC press brake machines.
• Select appropriate tooling and adjust bending angles as per design specifications.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of bends.


4. General CAM Programming & Machine Maintenance:
• Use CAM software to create cutting, rolling, and bending programs.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
• Maintain accurate production logs and quality reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Programming, or Metal Fabrication (preferred).

• Experience: 2+ years operating CNC plasma, rolling, and press brake machines in a metal fabrication environment.

• Software Knowledge: Experience with CAM software, CNC programming, AutoCAD, or similar CAD/CAM tools.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, welding symbols, and GD&T.
• Ability to adjust feed rates, cut speeds, and machine parameters for different materials.
• Knowledge of material properties (mild steel, stainless steel).

• Other Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Workshop-based role with exposure to noise, metal dust, and heavy machinery.
• Must be able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
• Compliance with safety regulations and PPE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills):

• Basic welding knowledge for fabrication adjustments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production tracking.
