Description

Position Overview:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for planning and scheduling electrical, mechanical, and piping construction activities at oil, petrochemical, and refinery sites. This role involves developing detailed project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and within the stipulated time frames.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical, mechanical, and piping construction
activities.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule development.
Utilize project management software to create and update project schedules.

Resource Allocation:
Determine the resource requirements for each project phase and allocate resources accordingly.
Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as needed to ensure project efficiency.

Progress Monitoring:
Track project progress against the established schedule.
Identify potential delays and bottlenecks and develop mitigation plans.
Prepare regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.

Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure alignment of schedules.
Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress and address any issues.
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure that all planning and scheduling activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, reports, and correspondence.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in the oil, petrochemical, and refinery industries.
Proven experience in electrical, mechanical, and piping construction projects.

Skills:
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Working Conditions:
The position is based on construction sites, requiring regular interaction with various project teams.
Travel to different project locations may be required.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Project Manager or Planning Manager.

Employment Status : Permanent
Joining : Immediately After Interview Selection .

Salary Structure

Basic : 5000 to 6000 SAR for 10 Hours
