Description

The Rigger and Lifting Foreman is responsible for overseeing all lifting operations on-site, ensuring they are carried out safely and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure that lifting and rigging tasks are completed according to project timelines and safety regulations. The Foreman will supervise a team of riggers, provide training, and ensure all lifting equipment is maintained and used correctly.


Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Coordination:

● Supervise and coordinate the activities of logistics personnel, including drivers, equipment operators, and material handlers.
● Plan and oversee the delivery, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment on-site.
● Communicate with site managers and other foremen to ensure logistics operations support overall project goals.
● PTW issue before conducting the lifting activities.
● Inspected all documents related to lifting.
● Lead the lifting activities and crew
● Safe lifting activities proceedings.
● The control of lifting operational areas,
● Follow the Lifting Plan and procedures and client requirements.
● Regular check the wind speed and direction.
● Checking the ground conditions as good for lifting.
● Supervisor all lifting activities,
● Preparation of permit for lifting
● Align, Level and anchor machinery.
● Attached loads to rigging to provide support or prepared them for moving, sing hand and power tools
● Attached pulleys and fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole.
● Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain fall, gin polls, gallows frames and others equipment.
● Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
● Fabricate, set up and repaired rigging equipment’s, supporting structures, hoist, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
● Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of the rigging gears and crane.
● Experience in handling heavy lifts
● Ensure all lifting tackle selected is of the correct type for the planned lifting job.
● Selecting appropriate lifting equipment’s and rigging.
● Communicate with crane operators and rigger
● Investigating incident and near miss
● Identify and address potential Hazards
● Ensure proper use of ppe ,

Safety and Compliance:

● Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
● Conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members are aware of safety protocols.
● Regularly inspect lifting equipment and rigging gear to ensure it is in good condition and properly maintained.

Training and Development:

● Provide training and guidance to riggers and other team members on safe lifting practices.
● Stay updated with industry standards and best practices and implement them on-site.

Planning and Execution:

● Develop lifting plans and procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
● Ensure all lifting operations are properly documented and records are maintained.

Problem Solving:

● Address any issues or challenges that arise during lifting operations and find effective solutions.
● Coordinate with maintenance teams for any repairs or maintenance required on lifting equipment.

Collaboration:

● Work closely with other site personnel to ensure lifting operations align with overall project goals.
● Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for lifting equipment and materials.

Qualifications/Experience

● High school diploma or 12 Class equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in landscape construction.
● Proven experience in a supervisory role.
● Strong knowledge of logistics processes, equipment, and safety standards.
● Excellent communication and leadership skills.
● Ability to read and interpret logistics plans and schedules.
● Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor construction environments

Working Conditions:

● This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.

● As instructed by you Line manager you need to perform all the given task on time.

The Salary range will be 2500 SR - 3000 SR
