As an IT Network Engineer with expertise in Fortinet Firewall, AWS Cloud Server, Server, and Network Security, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify network requirements, design solutions, and deploy technology to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement network infrastructure solutions utilizing Fortinet Firewall technology and AWS Cloud Server services. This includes designing network architecture, implementing security policies, and configuring routing and switching protocols.
2. Fortinet Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and manage Fortinet Firewall devices to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. This includes firewall rule management, intrusion detection/prevention, and VPN configuration.
3. AWS Cloud Server Administration: Manage and administer AWS cloud server instances, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing server performance. Implement security best practices for AWS cloud environments, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and network security groups.
4. Server and Network Security: Implement security measures to protect servers and network infrastructure from cyber threats, including malware, viruses, and unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
5. Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and availability. Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve network problems.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and security policies. Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
7. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, software developers, and security analysts, to design and implement integrated solutions. Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions and documentation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT network engineering with a focus on Fortinet Firewall, AWS cloud server administration, and server/network security.
• Professional certifications such as Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet Firewall devices, including FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and Security Groups.
• Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
