We are looking for a strong Odoo Techno-Functional Specialist to take ownership of an existing Odoo environment, resolve current implementation issues, improve business workflows, and support future Odoo projects.
This is not a basic Odoo support or data-entry role. The selected candidate must be capable of understanding real business operations, diagnosing root causes, configuring standard Odoo modules, developing necessary customizations, and delivering stable, documented, and tested solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Audit the current Odoo implementation and identify functional, technical, data, integration, and user-adoption issues.
* Understand the company’s actual business processes and translate them into practical Odoo workflows.
* Configure and improve Odoo modules, including:
* CRM
* Sales
* Purchase
* Inventory
* Accounting and Invoicing
* Employees and HR
* Approvals
* Manufacturing or Light Manufacturing, when required
* Review and fix existing custom modules, configurations, automations, and integrations.
* Troubleshoot system errors, access rights, workflows, reports, scheduled actions, and performance issues.
* Develop custom Odoo modules and integrations using Python, XML, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and Odoo APIs when standard Odoo functionality is insufficient.
* Integrate Odoo with external systems, quotation platforms, email systems, dashboards, and AI applications.
* Improve product, customer, supplier, pricing, inventory, and accounting master data.
* Identify duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate records and propose safe cleanup plans.
* Create and maintain development, staging, testing, and production deployment processes.
* Prepare test cases and perform functional, regression, integration, and user-acceptance testing.
* Document all configurations, customizations, workflows, APIs, deployment steps, and system changes.
* Train internal users and provide clear operating instructions.
* Manage an organized Odoo issue and improvement backlog.
* Provide regular progress reports, risks, completed tasks, test evidence, and next actions.
* Work closely with the local project lead, management, department users, and LeenAI technical team.
Required Experience
* At least 4 years of hands-on Odoo experience.
* Strong experience in both Odoo functional consulting and technical development.
* Proven experience supporting or rescuing an existing Odoo implementation.
* Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, including:
* Lead to quotation
* Quotation to sales order
* Sales order to delivery
* Delivery to invoice and payment
* Purchase request to purchase order
* Purchase order to receipt and supplier invoice
* Inventory transfers, adjustments, and warehouse operations
* Strong experience with Odoo CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and user-access configuration.
* Solid Python, PostgreSQL, XML, Odoo ORM, QWeb, Git, and API integration skills.
* Experience reviewing and debugging existing custom modules.
* Experience with Odoo Community and Enterprise editions.
* Ability to distinguish between:
* Configuration problems

* Data-quality problems

* Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
* Good written and spoken English.
* Ability to work during Saudi Arabia business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
* Odoo certification.
* Experience with multi-company, multi-branch, multi-warehouse, and role-based access environments.
* Experience in B2B trading, distribution, manufacturing, lighting, contracting, or project-based businesses.
* Experience with Odoo migrations, upgrades, backups, staging environments, and deployment pipelines.
* Experience integrating Odoo with email systems, quotation engines, AI agents, BI dashboards, or third-party applications.
* Functional knowledge of accounting and inventory valuation.
* Experience implementing manufacturing, BOMs, work orders, or assembly operations.
* Experience managing Odoo projects and coordinating with business users.
Important Working Principles
The selected candidate must follow these rules:
* Use standard Odoo functionality whenever it can meet the business requirement.
* Do not create unnecessary customizations.
* Do not modify the production environment without approval.
* All significant changes must first be implemented and tested in a staging environment.
* Every change must include documentation, testing evidence, impact assessment, and rollback instructions.
* All source code, repositories, documentation, credentials, and deliverables remain the property of the company.
* No undocumented code or dependency on one individual will be accepted.
* Business requirements must be understood before development begins.
* Root causes must be addressed rather than applying temporary fixes.
Initial Assignment
During the initial evaluation period, the candidate will be expected to:
1. Audit the existing Odoo environment.
2. Review installed modules, customizations, users, permissions, integrations, and data quality.
3. Identify critical issues and root causes.
4. Classify issues into functional, technical, process, data, integration, and training categories.
5. Prepare a prioritized recovery roadmap.
6. Resolve selected real issues in a staging environment.
7. Provide test cases, documentation, deployment steps, and rollback plans.
8. Demonstrate knowledge transfer to the local project lead.
