Job Summary:

The ERP Payroll Technical Consultant is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of the payroll module within the ERP system. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of ERP payroll systems, as well as an understanding of payroll processes and regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure the payroll system is efficient, compliant, and meets the business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

System Implementation and Configuration:

Lead and participate in the implementation and configuration of the payroll module within the ERP system.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document payroll requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Configure the payroll module to align with business requirements and regulatory standards.
Technical Development:

Develop and maintain customizations, interfaces, and extensions for the payroll module.
Write and maintain code, scripts, and reports related to payroll processing.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the payroll system.
Business Process Optimization:

Analyze payroll processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
Recommend and implement enhancements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing.
Conduct training sessions for HR and payroll staff to ensure proper utilization of the payroll module.
System Integration:

Ensure seamless integration of the payroll module with other ERP modules and external systems.
Develop and maintain data migration and integration plans to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to manage and support integration projects.
Support and Maintenance:

Provide ongoing support for the payroll module, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistance.
Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure the payroll system complies with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
Generate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights into payroll operations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for payroll system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP implementation and support, with a focus on payroll modules.
Strong technical knowledge of ERP payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.).
Experience with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Java, C#, etc.) and database management.
Excellent understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications in relevant ERP systems are a plus.
