Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) preferred.
Proven work experience as a Safety Engineer or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of safety management procedures and relevant regulations (OSHA, ANSI, etc.).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving attitude with the ability to propose practical solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify safety issues in the workplace.
Design and implement safety training programs for employees.
Investigate accidents or incidents to identify their causes and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure safety considerations are incorporated into designs and processes.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in safety engineering.
Prepare and present reports on safety performance and initiatives to management.
Additional Skills (Optional):

Experience with safety management software.
Knowledge of environmental management systems.
Familiarity with industrial hygiene principles.
