Job Overview:

As a Transportation Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of transportation services. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting audits, and collaborating with various teams to enhance overall operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing and implementing quality control procedures: You will be responsible for creating and implementing quality control processes to ensure that products and services meet the established standards. This involves defining quality metrics, conducting inspections, and establishing quality checkpoints throughout the logistics and transport operations.
2. Conducting quality audits: You will perform regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement. This includes reviewing documents, procedures, and records to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
3. Monitoring and analyzing performance data: You will collect and analyze data related to quality performance, such as defect rates, customer complaints, and service metrics. This information will be used to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
4. Implementing corrective and preventive actions: When quality issues are identified, you will be responsible for initiating corrective and preventive actions. This involves investigating the root causes of problems, developing action plans, and working with relevant teams to implement necessary changes.
5. Training and educating staff: You will provide training and guidance to employees on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices. This ensures that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and understand how to maintain quality throughout the logistics and transport processes.
6. Supplier management: You may be involved in assessing and monitoring the quality of suppliers and vendors. This includes conducting supplier audits, evaluating their performance, and collaborating with them to address any quality-related concerns.
7. Continuous improvement initiatives: You will actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of logistics and transport operations. This may involve implementing quality management systems, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, or other improvement frameworks.



8. Compliance with regulations: You will ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, legal requirements, and international standards related to logistics and transport operations. This includes staying updated on changes in regulations and ensuring that the company's quality processes align with the necessary standards.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in transportation management or quality assurance with 6-8 years’ experience.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and related software.
Experience in implementing quality management systems (QMS) in a transportation context.
Familiarity with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in a transportation context.
