Position title: Sr. Planning Engineer
Duration of the contract: 5 Years

Qualification:
• Having vast experience in Building Construction / Attraction / Theme Park projects.
• Gulf Experience and Attraction Project is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning within the construction industry (Middle East experience preferred).
• Proficient in using planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project life cycles, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Have Worked with International Organization or under the supervision of International Consultant
• Have worked in Mega Project Environment.

Skills :
• 10 years of related work experience in planning and scheduling both engineering and construction activities is required.
• Senior Planning Engineer involves creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating resources, managing risks, tracking progress, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.


Duties and responsibilities :
• Develop initiation programmers for all development stages and phases.
• Develop an overall development project progress control system for all phases.

• Ensure supplier programmers are compliant and in line with the detailed plan and progress monitoring systems.
• Monitor sub-contractors / suppliers' Rate of Progress to ensure that this is consistent with the project plan.
• Draw up action plans for the recovery of slippage and implement these with suppliers.
• Assist with the analysis of sub-contractors/supplier claims to ensure that these are appropriately responded to Close-out planning functions for the project and ensure of data is correctly administered for the project.
• Review and understand all relevant project documents and conditions.
• Establish and define project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them.
• Develop in conjunction with the Project Management and Client, a suitable work breakdown structure for the project.
• Establish and communicate cost and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
• Review overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure that all cost, planning and document control reports are prepared in accordance with the Project Control Manual
• Other planning management duties as assigned by the Project Director/Senior Project Manager.
• Perform claims and generate claim analysis reports / Time Extension.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all phases of construction from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and ensure accurate project timelines.
• Conduct critical path analysis and risk assessments to identify potential delays and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Monitor project progress and performance against baseline schedules, providing regular updates to project teams and management.
• Utilize industry-standard planning tools and software to create detailed project plans and analyze project data.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify resource requirements, optimize resource allocation, and ensure efficient use of manpower and equipment.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients, highlighting project milestones, timelines, and potential challenges.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior planning staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
