Position Overview:
A QA/QC ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of ELV systems in various construction or engineering projects. ELV systems encompass a range of low-voltage electrical systems, including security systems, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, public address systems, data networks, and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, testing, and evaluation of ELV systems to verify compliance with relevant industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control Checks: Perform thorough quality control checks on ELV equipment, materials, installations, and associated documentation to ensure adherence to approved methods and standards.
Procedures and Guidelines: Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and guidelines specific to ELV systems to ensure consistent adherence to best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and Analysis: Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential quality issues or discrepancies, and provide recommendations or solutions for improvement.
On-site Inspections and Audits: Conduct on-site inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards, assess system performance through tests and measurements, and document any identified deviations or non-conformities.
Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to address quality-related concerns, resolve issues in a timely manner, and foster effective communication throughout all stages of the project.
Continuous Improvement: Pursue opportunities for continuous improvement in ELV system quality, efficiency, and functionality, incorporating industry best practices and innovative solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control within ELV systems or related industries.
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards, specifications, and regulations.
Familiarity with ELV system components, installations, and testing methods.
Proficiency in utilizing quality control tools and techniques.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or relevant certifications are preferred.
