Description

Responsibilities
• On receipt of enquiry from stores/sales, to immediately source the material & send the enquiry.
• Research potential vendors
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Arrange Letter of Credit, wherever required with the co-ordination of accounts department and pass such information to supplier’s
concerned person
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review quality of purchased products
• Notifying Suppliers on short-shipped, over supplied and faulty items received and taking the necessary action
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Collect all customs and clearance related charges and complete costing of the consignment as soon as the material is received in
the store.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends

Preferred Experience : General Tools, Welding Products, Lifting equipment and marine tackles, Building materials and construction consumables, Power Tools, Safety and Firefighting products, Industrial and General maintenance products.
