• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of landscapers and gardeners, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee plant selection, sourcing, and procurement, considering factors such as site conditions, climate, and aesthetics.
• Ensure proper installation and maintenance of softscape elements, including planting, irrigation, and soil preparation.
• Implement pest and disease management strategies to ensure the health and vitality of installed plantings.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintain accurate records, including plant inventories, maintenance schedules, and project documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of work and address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Provide expert advice to clients regarding plant care, maintenance, and seasonal changes.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new plant varieties, integrating innovative ideas into project designs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing softscape projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Extensive knowledge of plant species, soil types, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of landscapers and gardeners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, team members, and external partners.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in landscape design software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing project needs and requirements.
• Understanding of sustainability principles in landscaping is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
