Description

Education: University degree, Bachelor in Business administration, or equivalent.



Experience: At least five years experience required as Purchasing Manager.



Training Courses:

a) Quality Management System (ISO9001)

b) Quality Audit ( ISO).

c) General courses in Business

Administration, Trade and computer.



Skills:

a) Leadership and self-motivation, with ability to use available resources

b) Good Communication skill.

c) Conducting assigned tasks in a professional manner

d) Preparing technical reports upon requirements.

e) Knowledge of computer and word processing/database/spreadsheet software

f) Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedues

g) Knowledge of accounting and Book keeping procedures.

h) Good oral and written communications skills.

i) Organization Skills

j) Ability to work and make decisions without intense supervision



Job Description:

a) Supervising the whole purchasing

activities done by purchasing

subordinates to assure compliance

with purchasing with purchasing

procedures and policies.

b) Frequent evaluation and development

of purchasing procedures.

c) Directing and supporting purchasing

subordinates in executing their jobs.

d) Frequent evaluation of current

suppliers’ performance and potential

suppliers’ offers.

e) Prompt implementation of General

Manager instructions related to

purchasing.

f) Frequent reporting to General Manager.

g) Planning for purchasing departments’

strategies in coordination with related departments.

j) Manage purchase requisitions/orders

k) Review records of materials, equipment,

L) products ,ordered and received

m) Participate in make and buy decession

n) Review and assess total supply chain risk and identify opportunities to minimize and eliminate risk.

o) Maintain current technicial skills and

apply new knowledge to management

task for the improvement of purchasing activites

p) Review and approve all purchase orders

q) Confer with management and staff

coordinating purchasing activites.

r) Develop and measure key performance indicators to determine and improve the effectiveness of the purchasing function.
