Description

Job Purpose :

Develop and manage the master project schedule in alignment with the project scope and project execution plan for capital projects.


Key Responsibilities :

Manage the planning and scheduling parts of assigned projects; provide support during project evaluation and reviews.
Monitoring of project progress in each project phase, and perform analysis for resource loading and performance progress and prepare schedule performance measurement reports, forecasts and studies on a regular basis.
Utilize planning and scheduling experience and available tools (Primavera experience required; Ms-Project) to develop, monitor and analyze project schedules for all project phases and advise Project leaders on findings.
Provide project management consultation and schedule risk factors affecting the timely completion of projects.
Ensure proper Progress Management Practices are implemented to ensure accurate progress reporting and forecasting.
Represent Sadara’s interest in discussions with third party contractors, vendors, manufacturers with regard to project schedules and progress measurement and reporting.
Analyze project schedule, in-house or contracted, to determine schedule risks and make recommendations for mitigation.
Contribute to the development of project contract and strategies, cost estimation and bid evaluation and analysis of change orders of capital projects as required.
Report target and actual schedule completion data to relevant management and benchmarking services, to help improve site project schedule performance.
Analyze multiple project schedules prepared by others and demonstrate capability to challenge accuracy and completeness.
Ensures accurate understanding of schedule by working closely with Project Team members to understand scope and details of project.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.


Qualification :

Essential: Bachelor's degree of Science in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering degree.
Preferred: Planning / Scheduling Certification.


Specific Knowledge :

Experience in skills and competencies within project controls, with experience focused in Schedule Management.
Extensive knowledge in Schedule development and management through various capital small and mega projects.
Working knowledge/experience in Planning and Scheduling Tools (Primavera, MS-Project, Risk Assessment Tools, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Microsoft Word, Sharepoint, SAP).
Basic Project Management principles
Good understanding of contractual principles (e.g. LSTK, EPCM)
