Job Summary
The Land Surveyor conducts field surveys, collects and analyses geographic data and prepares maps and reports to establish property boundaries and support engineering and construction projects. They use specialized surveying equipment and software to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct land, boundary, topographic and construction surveys.
• Operate surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, levels and drones.
• Collect, analyse and interpret survey data.
• Prepare maps, plats, sketches, and survey reports using CAD and GIS software.
• Establish property boundaries and verify legal land descriptions.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors etc.
• Monitor project progress and provide accurate survey data for construction activities.

Qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics or a related field.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or equivalent certification (preferred, depending on jurisdiction).
• Experience in land surveying, construction surveying or geomatics.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software etc

Skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in GPS, total stations and surveying software.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions
• Work is performed both in the field and in an office environment.
