Head of Engineering

1.Manage and develop an engineering team, including: Hiring, leading, and mentoring team members.
2. Ensuring highest levels of job satisfaction by setting goals, job expectations, responsibilities, and targets.
3. Ensuring team is involved in process identification and changes, participating in actively learning and meeting roadmap and project goals.
4. Establishing and tracking agile process, planning, milestones, and deployment to ensure departmental success.
5. Providing leadership, technical expertise, and career development for team members./ Providing technical support to the business development, estimating and onsite engineering teams
6. Support Sales team in developing product specification and quote activities
Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
7. Lead the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue and analysis of returned tenders
Having technical discussions with team members to agree on product scope and delivery schedules. Track delivery schedule and related dependencies
8. Partnering with Product, Operations and Sales on product or service modifications or improvements.
9. Support project engineers to cross functional activity required for project execution
10. Operate a process for safe selection of external contractors/vendors In conjunction with the Head of Operations ensure all external contracts are regularly reviewed to ensure best value.
11. Other projects, collaboration with other departments and stakeholders and responsibilities as needed
12. Ensure that engineering strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
13. Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
14. Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
15. Take ownership of the engineering policy, guidelines and any associated documents
Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes
