WE ARE HIRING – WORKSHOP LEAD (MECHANICAL ENGINEER)
πŸ“ Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Workshop Lead – Mechanical Engineer to oversee our machining and fabrication workshop operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, commercial awareness, and hands-on experience in workshop management.
Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Manage daily workshop operations, including lathes, milling, cutting, plasma cutting, CNC/NCN, and fabrication activities.
β€’ Ensure production efficiency, machine uptime, quality standards, and timely job delivery.
β€’ Prepare accurate job cost estimates and quotations based on machining time, tooling, raw materials, and prevailing Saudi market rates.
β€’ Review technical drawings and specifications, provide suitable machining solutions, and develop strong client relationships.
β€’ Monitor job profitability, coordinate invoicing against signed delivery notes, and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
β€’ Supervise machinists and technicians while enforcing HSE and 5S standards.
Requirements:
β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
β€’ Minimum 5 years of experience managing machining and fabrication workshop operations in Saudi Arabia.
β€’ Strong knowledge of conventional machining, tooling, plasma cutting, and fabrication processes.
β€’ Experience in job costing, quotations, raw material sourcing, and workshop profitability.
β€’ Excellent leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
β€’ Transferable iqama
β€’ Proficiency in English and a valid Saudi driving license.
