About the Role
We are hiring a QA/QC Engineer to inspect and certify structural steel and pre-engineered building (PEB) work on our active Saudi Arabia projects, from material receipt through fabrication to erection. You will make sure every member, weld and connection meets approved drawings, specifications and the project quality plan before it moves to the next stage.

Key Responsibilities

Verify incoming steel material against MTCs and approved material specifications
Inspect fabrication: cutting, fit-up, alignment, dimensions and weld quality
Check that welders and procedures are qualified (WPS, WPQ) before welding starts
Carry out visual weld inspection and coordinate NDT (PT, MT, UT, RT) with the approved testing agency
Inspect bolted connections, including torque and tension checks on high-strength bolts
Check surface preparation and coating (DFT) before dispatch and after erection
Verify erection alignment, plumb and levels against approved shop and erection drawings
Apply PEB-specific checks: main frames, purlin and girt alignment, and cladding interface
Prepare and follow ITPs, and manage hold and witness points, including third party inspection
Raise, track and close NCRs, submit WIRs and MIRs, and keep inspection records
Compile quality dossiers and handover documents for client submission
Coordinate between the fabrication workshop and the site erection team to avoid rework

What We Are Looking For

Hands-on steel structure or PEB inspection experience on named projects, not general civil or concrete QC
Practical knowledge of welding processes and weld defects (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) and NDT methods
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, AISC, ASTM and SBC requirements
Ability to read shop drawings, GA drawings and welding symbols independently
ASNT Level II, CSWIP or AWS CWI certification is an advantage
Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is an advantage
Experience with a PEB manufacturer or steel fabricator is an advantage
Currently based in Saudi Arabia, with a transferable Iqama
Good written and spoken English for reports and client communication

What This Role Is Not

Not a civil, concrete or finishing QC role. If your experience is mainly RC, finishing or MEP, this is not the right fit
Not an electrical, MEP or manufacturing plant QA role
Not a production role. You inspect and report, you do not run the fabrication team
Not remote. This is full-time, on-site work
