Job Description – AC Technician
Location: Riyadh Saudi Arabia
Department: Facility Management / Maintenance
Reports To: HVAC / Maintenance Supervisor
Joining: Immediate

Job Summary

Carry out installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air-conditioning systems across the compound. The candidate must have practical experience with window, package, split, tower, wall-mounted, and floor-mounted AC units.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, inspect, service, and repair all the listed AC systems.
- Diagnose cooling problems, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, unusual noise, and water leakage.
- Inspect compressors, fan motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, sensors, and control circuits.
- Clean air filters, evaporator and condenser coils, drain trays, and condensate drain lines.
- Check operating pressures and temperatures; perform leak testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging when required.
- Repair or replace faulty components according to manufacturer instructions.
- Install and repair refrigerant piping, insulation, and drainage connections.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to breakdowns.
- Test equipment after repairs to confirm proper cooling and safe operation.
- Record maintenance activities, operating readings, and spare parts used.
- Report major defects and material requirements to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and isolate equipment before maintenance.
- Maintain clean work areas and communicate professionally with residents and staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum three years of practical experience in AC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience with window, package, split, tower, wall-mounted, and floor-mounted AC units is required.
- ITI certificate or diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration faults.
- Experience using manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, leak detectors, and electrical testing instruments.
- Knowledge of safe refrigerant handling and electrical isolation procedures.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Facility management or residential compound experience is preferred.
- Must be available for immediate joining.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: SAR 2,500 per month.
- Food Allowance: SAR 300 per month.
- Total Monthly Salary: SAR 2,800.
- Accommodation: Provided by the company.
- Transportation: Provided by the company.
- Vacation: After completion of two years of service, as per company policy.
- Other Benefits: As per company policy.
