Role Description The Food Safety Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for overseeing daily food safety practices, including monitoring hygiene standards, conducting regular inspections of food preparation and storage areas, and ensuring compliance with local and international food safety regulations. The Food Safety Supervisor will develop and implement food safety procedures, train team members on safe handling and sanitation practices, and maintain detailed documentation and reports for audits. The role also involves collaborating with kitchen, operations, and quality teams to resolve nonconformities, manage corrective actions, and support continuous improvement in food safety and quality across the catering operation.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge and practical experience in Food Safety and Food Quality, with the ability to apply standards throughout the catering process.
Background in Quality Assurance within food operations, including monitoring, auditing, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Educational foundation or technical training in Food Science or a closely related discipline.
Understanding of Food Manufacturing processes, production workflows, and regulatory requirements relevant to catering and large-scale food service.
Relevant certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000 or equivalent) and familiarity with Saudi and international food safety regulations.
Ability to lead and train diverse teams, communicate clearly, and document procedures and inspection results accurately.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with changing operational needs.
Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or institutional food service is preferred.
