Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our engineering team in Al Khobar. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and coordination of fire protection systems for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water, Infrastructure, Commercial, and Residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead fire protection engineering activities on assigned projects.
• Perform site surveys and assessments for existing facilities.
• Develop fire protection system layouts, calculations, and design packages.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and material selection.
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and cost estimates.
• Review vendor documents, material submittals, and shop drawings.
• Conduct site visits to inspect construction and installation activities.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team.
• Assist in maintaining engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated with industry codes, standards, and technological advancements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Fire Protection, or related discipline).
• Minimum 10 years of fire protection engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering License, Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent certification from the country of origin.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water, or Industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international fire protection codes and standards.
Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have experience with:
• NFPA Codes & Standards
• Fire Water Systems
• Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
• Sprinkler Systems
• Foam Systems
• Hydrant Systems
• Deluge Systems
• Clean Agent Systems
• Saudi Building Code (SBC)
• API, FM Global, and UL Standards
Skills
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software applications.
