VACANCY – QA/QC ENGINEER/QA/QC Manager
Position: QA/QC Engineer
Industry: Cable Tray & Sheet Metal Manufacturing
Location: Saudi Arabia
We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to join our cable tray manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to final inspection and dispatch.
Required Qualification
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in QA/QC within sheet metal fabrication, cable tray, steel fabrication, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as cutting, punching, shearing, bending, welding, grinding, galvanizing and powder coating.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, inspection procedures and quality standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and preparation of quality documentation.
• Familiarity with applicable standards such as ASTM, ISO, BS/EN and project/customer specifications.
• Experience in incoming material inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection.
• Ability to prepare and review ITP, inspection reports, NCR, corrective action reports, checklists and quality records.
• Ability to identify quality issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Knowledge of measuring and inspection tools such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, coating thickness gauge and other dimensional inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of galvanizing/HDG coating thickness, powder coating thickness and visual/dimensional inspection will be an advantage.
• Good communication, reporting and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a separate QA/QC function within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain QA/QC procedures for cable tray manufacturing.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and verify material certificates.
• Monitor quality during cutting, punching, bending, welding and finishing processes.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor galvanizing, powder coating and other surface treatment requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports, NCRs and quality records.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering departments to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, approved drawings and applicable standards.
• Maintain proper traceability and quality documentation.
• Support internal, customer and third-party inspections and audits.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions and continuously improve the quality system.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in QA/QC, preferably in cable tray, sheet metal fabrication, steel fabrication or similar manufacturing industries.
